The
last sitting of the Associate Examination was held in November 2002.
Entries are no longer accepted, since CFA UK now promotes the Chartered
Financial Analyst (CFA) qualification.
The Associate Examination
was of a comparable standard to the CFA. Students were required to pass
the Investment Management Certificate and the following six papers:
Part I
Economics and Applied Statistical Analysis
Securities and Investment
Interpretation of Accounts and Corporate Finance
Part II
Investment Regulation and Practice
Portfolio Management
Case Study
Those
who passed or were exempt from the Associate Examination were eligible
to become Associate Members of IIMR as soon as they gained two years
relevant professional work experience.
